Music

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship God with gladness; come before God with singing. (Psalm 100:2)

Music has an important role in drawing us into the act of worship. We love our hymns, traditional and new, sung a capella or with accompaniment. Four-part singing beautifully models our sense of Christian community. It requires cooperation, love, acceptance of difference and humility. It requires us to admit that we need each other and are better in community and that difference doesn’t need to mean discord but can actually produce harmony.

For hymns, we use Voices Together a hymnal produced by the Mennonite Church in 2020.

We continue to have copies of our previous hymnal Hymnal: A Worship Book and companion resources, Sing the Story and Sing the Journey.
